The Hawking Award for Developed Understanding of Public Engagement is named for Lucy Hawking, novelist and daughter of Stephen Hawking. This award reflects Lucy's qualities of reflexive, cooperative working, and her understanding of how to bring together research and engagement. It is given to an individual to acknowledge their critical thinking in the field of public engagement.

Tantidhatri 2019 - We need your support!

Dear Magdalenas,

I am writing to send you information about Tantidhatri, a Magdalena Festival in India. Parvathy Baul, with whom I have studied in India, directs the festival and I do the artistic direction. It is a festival organized by a non-profit organization, which will donate the benefits for the education of hindu girls. I send the information in case you want to come (I'd love to see you in Kolkata) or in case you can contribute (with a donation or spreading the info)

Theatre Residency

Magfest organizes a theatre residency (in Italian) inspired by the book "Raccontami Tu" by Maristella Lippolis and directed by Manuela Frontoni. The residency takes place in Pescara (Italy), 27-30 December 2018 and 2-5 January 2019. The call is open to all actors and actresses, detailed information in Italian here below and on http://www.mag-lab.org.

Program 2018

The 2nd EDITION of MULTICIDADE, with the sponsorship of the BOTICARIO and Ministry of Culture aims at the continuity of the exchange between artists of diverse cultures. Focused on contemporary and multimedia theatrical production, it offers programming of performances, lectures, musical concerts, video shows and free workshops by artists from Germany, Denmark, France, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
