Minimum International Vídeodance Festival

I'm Rocio Wabizasui Ibiza, a Butoh dancer and choreographer living in Ibiza. I have collaborated with international second generation Butoh artists. I am organizing the Minimum International Video Dance Festival, which was born as a multilevel artistic platform for artists who explore performance as a mixture of artistic supports from a liminal concept that is disposed to a transit that results in uncertainty of the course, about the beginning and end of the work. An interstice that gives rise to an alternative space opening new synergies and multimedia dialogues around dance and the body.

Amplifying women’s voices through theatre

This summer, we worked with young Afghans at Bard College, using theatre to explore the challenges they face having fled their homes in Afghanistan. Our theatre workshop helped students to heal emotionally and integrate more fully into their academic and personal lives. The opportunity to freely express hopes and fears is uplifting and healing.

One participant said: “We had an incredible time... we laughed, played and connected through creative games and improvisation. The energy was contagious.”
