AT:HOME:LIVE #9

On Sunday 14 July 2024 at 14:00 CET (click here to find your local time), AT:HOME:LIVE#9 will take place with the theme FEAR:HOPE, and speaker Zoe Gudovic. There will be physical activities and opportunities for discussion and sharing.

The theme FEAR:HOPE acknowledges the current political situation around the globe: climate change, the rise of the far right, violent conflict, poverty and precarity are all increasing as inequality becomes more extreme. Unspoken fears fester within communities and individuals and hope is reduced to a whisper. By giving voice to our hopes and our fears, we harness the power to convert fear into hope.

AT:HOME:LIVE#9 has been initiated by Elizabeth de Roza, and organised together with Helen Varley Jamieson and Zoe Gudovic; graphics by Suzon Fuks.

During 2020 and 2021, monthly online AT:HOME:LIVE sessions enabled the global Magdalena network to continue to meet, network and support each other through the strange times of the pandemic. These events culminated in the first ever online Magdalena festival, Bodies:On:Live, in June 2021. Now, as climate change and political and economic circumstances invite us to rethink how much and why we travel, we feel it is necessary to revive this format of meeting.
