One of my work focuses on the New Theater of Groups in Europe, North and South America. I have participated at various international conferences, congresses and meetings of this theater direction in Italy (1977/1990); Mexico (1981); Peru (1988/1998/2008/2011); Norway (1989); Great Britain (1994/2011) Denmark (1997/2009) and published various essays and radio programs on the subject. In this context, I have built up worldwide contacts to free artists' groups and networks.

Five years in total, I worked in Latin America, working as theater director, producer and doing researches, among others in 1978 with a grant from the University of Wuppertal, 1986/87 as co-director with a grant from the Ministry of Culture NRW and again 2014 with a grant of Ministry of Culture NRW.

I am co-founder and Artistic Director since 1989 of Unter Wasser fliegen, an association which focuses on international cultural exchange exchange. Six international meetings and festivals with different priorities, as well as an ongoing International Academy with guest performances, workshops and continuing education programs and also various productions are part of the activities of the association until now. Project funding amongst others by the European Community, federal and state funds.

Another focal point of my work is the professional theater work in social and cultural fields (youth and social work, girls' and women's work, psychiatry, retired people Culture and prison labor). In these areas I have developed and carried out some model projects, including on behalf of the Federal Government. The results were published in the form of handouts in different languages. To link the international cultural exchange also in these fields, always under the premise of working with professional artists, is a particular concern.
