Sea / Woman

An international co-production by actress and theatre maker Maja Mitić (Ko-smo(s) Theater, Serbia) and director Anna Furse (Athletes of the Heart (UK)). This solo performance reflects on Mitic’s 30-year long theatre career. Ellida, the main character in Ibsen’s The Woman of the Sea, formed the inspiration for this performance, which focuses on Ellida’s deep anguish as a woman who is trapped in her socio-economic position. Powerful, authentic acting and movement techniques make Maja Mitic a unique artist, who performs all over the world.
