DAH THEATRE INSTITUTE, ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM, INSIDE THE LABORATORY

DAH THEATRE INSTITUTE (founded in 2001)

 

Every year DAH Theatre Research Centre offers an intensive three-week program of events and practical workshops designed for both actors and directors using contemporary theatre techniques.

An approach where directors, actors and dancers indulge in creative process of physical and vocal training, creating material, and experience how to create a performance using the theatre techniques  of montage.

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM


The concept of residency is to give an opportunity for international exchange in creative environment. To stimulate creativity through direct contact with professionals from DAH Theatre and local community, art public, local artists, cultural institutions, curators, art historians. To deepen mutual understanding and cultural exchange with other residing creators.

Artists of different fields (theatre, performing arts, dance, media arts, music, and writing), groups, collectives and single artists and cultural workers from all sectors from all over the world are invited to apply.

INSIDE THE LABORATORY

The program Inside the Laboratory is designed for all interested groups of professional practitioners, students and scholars from different fields with an aim to unveil "secrets" behind DAH Theatre Research Centre’s working methods, both ethic and aesthetic.

During their stay participants will have an opportunity to observe the work or to work with artists from DAH Theatre Research Centre; to see all the performances and working process demonstrations by the company, to attend lectures and see videos in relation to different aspects of the work of the Centre and to take active part in talks and meetings.
