Graduate in musical theatre from ISAS (Institut Supérieur des Arts de la Scene, Paris, France), in theatre from l’Ecole Dramatique Sylvia Roche (Marseille, France)and in cultural administration from York University (Toronto, Canada) and the Université Lumière Lyon II (Lyon, France).
Creator of the nomadic arts company Defiant Reality - Arts for Change in 2014. This initiative based on creation, production, administration & pedagogy revolves around two lines of work:
- create live art & theatre with a gender focus. The company's repertoire counts 4 theatre shows & 1 live art co-creation, all directed by women and presenting female characters that go far and beyond their gender role assignation.
- create theatrical & pedagogical experiences for people who find themselves in vulnerable social conditions. Previous work includes creative & formative processes in
Tolú & Buenaventura (Colombia), 3 Colombian prisons, 2 Ecuatorian prisons, women at risk of coming in contact with the criminal justice system in England, and workshops for 'Dalit' children in India.
Particularly interested in 'unlearning', I've developed my career as a performing artist, teacher & cultural administrator in England, India, Chile, Colombia, México & Ecuador. Funnily enough, not in my birth country, France...not yet anyways!
