9th Jun 2019 2pm - 4pm

Written by Kaethe Fine. Conceived by Anna Birch and Kaethe Fine

First Produced by Fragments & Monuments performance and film company, Newington Green, Stoke Newington

Fragments & Monuments and Scary Little Girls bring feminist and champion of education for women, Mary Wollstonecraft's green in Stoke Newington alive with performance, poetry and song.

In small groups, you will set off on a specially prepared route, where hidden performers regale you with famous words inspired by Mary Wollstonecraft, and of course with her own work.  You have only each other and your carefully constructed printed guides to show you around.  As you progress you'll discover secrets about Mary, her life and her Green!

Alternatively you can volunteer to help with the event and also take part in a workshop at Hackney Archive with theatre director and activist Anna Birch to learn about Mary Wollstonecraft and her local history and also participate in the Wollstonecraft Walk on June 9th as part of Stoke Newington Literary Festival. Please email Anna at director@fragmentsandmonuments.com if you are interested and/or would like to hear more.
