Odin Teatret opens our doors to people interested in learning about our work.

Odin Week Festival 2016The second Odin Week Festival in 2016 will take place at Odin Teatret in Holstebro, Denmark from Tuesday 16 until Friday 26 August 2016.


Participants should arrive on Tuesday 16 August 2016 no later than 16.30. Registration at Odin Teatret takes place between 4 p.m and 5 p.m.

The first meeting between the participants and Eugenio Barba will take place at 5 p.m. on the arrival day. The first performance of the Festival will be shown later in the evening. All participants are expected to be present on the first day.


The Odin Week Festival will conclude on Thursday 25 August at 11 p.m. and participants will leave by noon on Friday 26 August 2016.


Below is an example of  the daily programme, which will be conducted in English:

08:00 - 10:00

Physical and vocal training

10:00 - 10:30


10:30 - 12:00

Work demonstration by Odin Teatret's actors

12:00 - 13:30

Lunch break and practical maintenance duties in the theatre

13:30 - 16:30

"The Odin Tradition" directed by one of the actors or musicians

16:30 - 17:00


17:00 - 18:00

Meeting with Eugenio Barba

18:00 - 20:00

Break for dinner


Every evening there will be a performance by Odin Teatret


The participation fee is DKK 7.500 (equivallent to about 1,000 Euro/ 1,350 US$)

The fee includes:

  • Entrance to all performances and pedagogical activitie
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • Accommodation in rooms of 3-8 people within the premises of Odin Teatret (maximum 38 participants) or in double rooms in private accommodation 3 km or less from Odin Teatret (transportation is not included).
  • Linen and towels during your stay.


IF you are accepted as a participant - the participation fee MUST be paid and received by the 20 June 2016 in order to secure you place. Once you have been accepted, you will receive information on how to make the payment.
