Next Moves

Magdalena München

Magdalena München announces Next Moves, a programme of residencies and events addressing the question: after two years of living with the pandemic, what are our next moves?

We want to discuss what a "new normal" could be like and what this means for us as artists, migrants and citizens. How can we continue to connect, exchange and create in the shadow of the virus and global conflicts, and what are the conditions for international collaboration after
these years? What tools do we already have, and what tools do we need? Next Moves is Magdalena München's contribution to this discussion.

From January to March 2022, artists Sara Larsdotter Hallqvist (Teater InterAkt, Sweden) and Eva Ursprung (Schaumbad - Freies Atelierhaus Graz, Austria) will be artists in residence at the Villa Waldberta near Munich. Sara and Eva are collaborating with Helen Varley Jamieson on the Creative Europe funded project Mobilise/Demobilise, with which the Next Moves project is associated. The residencies form the heart of the project.

Events will include presentations, discussions and artistic exchanges, at venues in Munich and Feldafing as well as online.
