The Macerata area stands out and "shines" for the beauty of its hamlets. For the ability to create culture and tourism in small towns. MASKA MARKE aims to recreate that bond between the villagers and "the arrival of comedians." The arrival of comedians in a village used to be experienced as an extraordinary event, as an open window to the world. Modern times and new technologies have changed all that, now the world is one big square; but the magic of theater and in particular a popular theater such as Commedia dell'Arte can recreate that atmosphere of fairy tale, of " different" experience that our hamlets once lived. In one week, Commedia dell'Arte performances will be brought to the area, to be offered to local inhabitants and tourists in an atmosphere of exchange and sharing between culture, tourism and gastronomy. The project includes a residential theater training workshop MASKA MATER led by Claudia Contin Arlecchino and Francesco Facciolli. A kind of study-vacation that will also produce a performance in which the international students will share their experience with the host hamlet.
