BORN IN A STORY

Silvia Moreno is engaged in community theatre with her clown figure in Spain and France and is currently working to host a Magdalena Project festival in Albi. Her solo performance “Las hijas del viento” (The Daughters of the Wind) traces the lives of several generations of women (mothers and daughters) from the same family. Mothers who have lost children, daughters who have lost their mothers… Women who have migrated, lived war, dictatorship, fought poverty, cohabited with death. To introduce the performance directed by Jill Greenhalgh, Silvia writes: I was not born in a place, but in a story. We all come from a story told to us, we are told and told… And so, we build on each other. I was not born in a place, I come from this story…

SILVIA MORENO VICENTE (Spain/France) is an actress, clown and artistic project director. She studied in Spain and France. In 1996, she moved to Paris, where she created the Cavaluna theatre company two years later, producing theatre and visual performances and touring in France and abroad. In parallel to her activity with Cavaluna, she works as an actress with other companies (Plasticiens Volants, Cie d'Ailleurs, Lala, Sputnik…), and develops artistic and socio-cultural community projects. In recent years, her artistic activity has focused on exploring the relationship between personal cartography, theatrical creation and citizen action in the public space.

NATA IN UNA STORIA

Silvia Moreno è impegnata in teatro nel sociale con la sua figura di clown in Spagna e Francia e attualmente sta lavorando per ospitare un festival Magdalena Project ad Albi. Il suo spettacolo solo “Las hijas del viento” (Le figlie del vento) ripercorre la vita di diverse generazioni di donne (madri e figlie) della stessa famiglia. Madri che hanno perso figli, figlie che hanno perso la madre... Donne che sono emigrate, hanno vissuto la guerra, la dittatura, hanno combattuto la povertà, hanno convissuto con la morte. Per introdurre lo spettacolo con la regia di Jill Greenhalgh, Silvia scrive: Non sono nata in un luogo, ma in una storia. Veniamo tutti da una storia che ci viene raccontata, ci viene raccontata e raccontata... E così, costruiamo l'una sull'altra. Non sono nata in un posto, vengo da questa storia...

SILVIA MORENO VICENTE (Spagna/Francia) è attrice, clown e dirige progetti artistici. Ha studiato in Spagna e Francia. Nel 1996 si è trasferita a Parigi, dove due anni dopo ha creato la compagnia teatrale Cavaluna, producendo spettacoli teatrali e visivi e facendo tournée in Francia e all'estero. Parallelamente alla sua attività con Cavaluna, lavora come attrice con altre compagnie (Plasticiens Volants, Cie d'Ailleurs, Lala, Sputnik...), e sviluppa progetti di comunità artistiche e socio-culturali. Negli ultimi anni, la sua attività artistica si è concentrata sull'esplorazione del rapporto tra cartografia personale, creazione teatrale e azione cittadina nello spazio pubblico.
