Silvia Pinto Ferreira (Chaves, Portugal, 1982) is a performer and creator that explore multidisciplinary artistic processes that privilege performative research methodologies, dramaturgy of specific territories and communities.
She participates in several artistic training and creation projects of performing arts with groups of women, among them: the NÓS project with university students and unemployed women (2013-2014) and VELEDA - artistic and social intervention project/Women and Monoparentality (2019-2020, both with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
In 2005, she joined the Quarta Parede-Performing Arts Association of Covilhã, where she creates and interprets performing art projects and designs and implements artistic-pedagogical activities for diverse audience segments. She also participates in the programming and production of the Festival Y and the emerging artists exhibition, 1ºAndar.
Since 2012, she collaborates regularly with Pé de Pano-Projectos Culturais in community art projects in the area of dance-theatre.
She holds an MA in Community Theatre from the High School of Theatre and Cinema/IPL and a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Évora, Portugal. His training also includes a postgraduate degree in Animation of Histories from the High School of Education/IPL, a research internship in contemporary dramaturgy under the mentorship of Jean-Pierre Ryngaert (ANETH, Paris) and Object Theatre training with Agnès Limbos.
