Showcase of women's playwriting

Attention women playwrights...

I am excited to announce that International Women Artists' Salon will again be a programmatic sponsor and partner of Modern-Day Griots Theatre Company's "See, Hear, Taste, Touch" annual showcase of women's playwriting. Here is a call out for material:

The Modern-Day Griot Theatre Company is accepting submissions of one-act plays to be performed in celebration of Women’s Month for our yearly “See, Hear Taste, Touch” series which will be held this March in New York City. We are only accepting original work by female playwrights. All plays must be production-ready, typewritten, have 1-6 characters, and must have a running time of 20 minutes or less. Any genre (comedy, tragedy, etc) is accepted, but the plays must have a fresh plot, sufficient conflict, and a provocative and engaging text.

Deadline for submissions is January 30, 2016 at 6pm EST.

The Modern-Day Griot Theatre Company cannot offer royalties but can offer a production opportunity.
