Lotus Lee Foundation is approved by the United States Federal Government as a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2017 to promotethe cooperation, exchange and education of theatrical culture. Lotus Lee Foundation is based in Manhattan, New York, close to the NYC Theatre District.
Lotus Lee Foundation was founded to help young playwright produce new works in China and the United States, to share their stories with each otherand introduce people to stories outside their own experiences, and to involve the youth and emerging artists, particularly young Asian artists. We areperfectly set up in New York City and China to help and support young playwrights tell their stories and reach a large audience and to createopportunities for artists of all disciplines and skills to become involved. We aim to continue bringing new works to the stage in China and the UnitedStates and to share these works with other countries.
We hope that through our efforts, we will introduce Broadway as a theatrical culture to Chinese audiences and share the advanced drama productionconcepts of Broadway to China's theatrical culture practitioners and researchers, for the Sino-American stage drama cultural exchanges to build bridges.
We are committed to discovering new works, new voices, new stories, promoting cultural exchanges between China and the United States, and inspiringmore young people to focus on drama culture and art. At the same time for the new drama field of young drama culture and art workers, to provide a sound platform. We also focus on the application of new visual technologies on the stage, explore innovative visual artists and groups, and promote technological innovations in the theater arena.
