Tara Morony

Tara is a performer and theatre-maker, whose practice involves physical theatre, sensory theatre and clowning within the Theatre Laboratory. She trained with Teatro de los Sentidos in Barcelona, researching sensory languages and the poetics of play within theatrical creation. Following this, she joined the Masters in Performance at Manchester School of Theatre, specialising in Laboratory Theatre, while also training with the Performers’ Playground, independent school of acting and clowning (making her a fully qualified beautiful idiot). Through practice-as-research she is exploring the theme of desire, drawing on micropolitical perspectives, through the territories of clowning and the sensory experience of the performer in training and performance.
