I am a theatre director. I started as an actress and had been an active participant in the student's movement in New Delhi, India. During that phase, as an activist I joined a group based in New Delhi and had played for various productions. I felt the need to train myself around that time intellectually and physically and hence joined the School of Arts and Aesthetics in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. I went onto do my Mphil there in the Theatre and Performance Studies department where I wrote my thesis on the women performers of the Indian People's Theatre Association.
