After a very successful run in 2017, recognized with ATI, HOLA and LATA Awards LaMIcro Theater is bringing back NANAS by Chilean playwright Leonardo Gonzalez.

Nanas uses humor and communal storytelling to explore gender, class an privilege through the stories of four immigrant women. It centers on the characters of Santa, Aurora, Leonor and María Angélica, who toil as domestic workers in Chile, where the story takes place and brings us the testimonies of these powerful women, their trials and tribulations, the pain and endurance but also a sense of joy and pride while earning their living as domestic workers. Beyond personal stories, their experiences reflect relations that circumscribe the dynamics of power and domination between employer and employee and the discrimination that immigrants face in a foreign country.  Nanas travels through time and space until the very end, where it meets the audience to make it feel part of a meaningful and intimate encounter.  They will bear witness to the journey of these powerful and inspiring women.
