Thaís Medeiros Actress, Painter, Researcher Thais Ivana de Medeiros actress graduated at Macunaíma Theater School DRT: 10150 in 1990 and painter. Since 1992 she has been doing a self research about actors work, stage language, written and visual, where she has developed a self method, so unique, that is based on body conscious language and the essential relationship between the performer with himself, the space and the spectator, This research is carried out through a training body that includes listening experiences, memories contained in the body attached to the collective memories (archetypes) and the expression of a non-interpretive language and integrating the performing arts to visual arts. Worked in 1990 with Eli Daruj (at “Actors training center”) and from 1992 to 1998 with Neide Neves Theater Movement (based on Klauss Vianna technique.). From 1990 to 2011 she took part in many trainings, courses and workshops with several professionals of theater and dance among them are: Maura Baiocchi( Butoh Dance), Xavier Le Roy, Angel Vianna (Klauss Vianna), Jan Ferslev (Odin Teatret), Jorge Lopes Ramos (ZECORA Ura Theater) Carlos Simioni (Lume), Norberto Presto (Via Rosse), Julia Varley (Odin Teatret), Vértice Brasil (The Magdalena Project), Mark Taylor-BMC (Body-Mind Centering), Adriana Almeida Training on Integration Somatic Movement (BMC Body-Mind Centering), Tadashi Endo (Butoh Centrum MAMU), Roberta Carreri (Odin Teatret), Else Marie (Odin Teatret), Patricia Ariza (Teatro La Candelaria), Ana Woolf, Transit Festival VI (The Magdalena Project), Eugênio Barba and Júlia Varley (Odin Teatret/The Secret Art of the Actor), Legacy & Change (The Magdalena Project). From 1991 to 1998 she also took part in several plays such as: “Rei Lear” at Sesc during one Experimental theater season, “O Jantar” (The Dinner) where she both leaded and acted, “O Narrador no Tumulo 2” (Narrator in the Grave) at Little Notable Ones sponsored by the Cultural and State department. She coordinated several workshops from 1990 to 2000: “A Ação Justa na Expressão Cênica” ( Fair’s action at expression play) and “Projeto Teatro Dança; Expressando o Interno” (Theater and dance project; Expressing the interior of it), and in 1995 she created and coordinated a center of Theater “A Mão 7” (Hand’s 7). From 1996 to 1998 she created, produced and coordinated the “Linguagem 10 Teatro Dança” (Theater’s dance Language 10). She wrote plays: "O Jantar" "O Narrador no Túmulo" and "Piso no Feminino”. She carried out several exhibitions of paintings from 1996 to 2009,: 19th Art Salon ACSP-Pinheiros, "2005 - Year of Brazil in France" - (Century by the Cultural and Art), MAD - Display of Art and Design, International Exhibition Contemporary Art Luxembourg Art Expo New York, and the Cultural and Educational Lauderdale House, London (by Century Cultural and Art) Some awards: 2011 – Bronze Medal with “Asa Branca” at the Centro Cultural and Educational Lauderdale House; 2009 - Gold Medal with "Índio Brasileiro" 22th Salon de Arte ACSP, and with the work "Bailarina Movimento 9" at the Centro Cultural and Educational Lauderdale House, London – the Century and the Cultural Arts; Highlight and Tribute in 2009 at the Third International Exhibition of Visual Arts: "International Year of Planet Earth," the Syrian Arab Cultural Center in Brazil; 2006 - Medal Bronze - "Bailarina Movement 1", 19th Art Salon ACSP Pinheiros; 2005 - Honorable Mention - "Bailarina Movement 11" - "Year of Brazil in France”.
