Christina Kruise is an actress, theatre maker, and performance researcher. She is a founding member of Yinzerspielen, an international performance collective based in New York. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Theatre Arts and Urban Studies, and in 2012 she finished the Master’s Degree in International Performance Research (MAIPR) program at the University of Arts of Belgrade, Serbia and the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Past performance as research projects include Unlisted: Twice in a Lifetime (Belgrade International Theatre Festival/Belgrade, Serbia), Mapping Ottersberg (Festival of Art as Research/Ottersberg, Germany), The Mystery Steps (Stan’s Café/Brimingham, England), This is Not Illusion (University of Warwick/Coventry, England), The BT Party (Yinzerspielen/New York, New York), and Yinzerspielen: A German-American Collaboration (Theatre Panoptikum & Yinzerspielen/Augsburg, Germany & Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). Upcoming work includes projects in Berlin, Belgrade, New York and Pittsburgh.
