I am a theatre practitioner; teacher; writer; politically and humanistically determined woman.
I co-founded my company, Pilgrim Theatre (research and performance collaborative, inc.) in Poland in 1987 while serving as the director of the International Company of Drugie Studio Wroclawski, Wroclaw. My mentors have included Rena Mirecka, Zbigniew Cynkutis, members of the Roy Hart Theater; Wodek Staniewski; Jacek Ostaszewski; and Khalid Tyabji.
I have created devised productions before and since the inception of Pilgrim Theatre. My company has toured to Peru (at the invitation of Miguel Rubio and Roberta Carreri, Yuyachkani); and we have performed in Poland, Germany, Denmark and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
I am on the full-time faculty at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (beginning in 1989).
