The unique setting for this Weekend intensive is the beautiful village of Megalachori, on the unspoilt volcanic peninsula of the Eastern Peloponnese. It takes place in residence at Arsinoe Guest House, with six self-catering studios that sleep 3 persons each, a main building for table work, and a large outdoor workshop space and dining/rest area overlooking the Saronic Gulf and the mainland mountains. The enrollment fee will include accommodation and vegetarian meals.

Maja Mitic SeawomanThe workshop is intensive, disciplined and focused. We shall work through physical training (Tai ‘Chi, bamboo stick work, articulations, centering, breath and voice); physical scores; encountering space and site; the creation of images, actions and text fragments; dramaturgy through montage. Each participant will be involved in a research during the three days. This might be a continuation of ongoing current research preoccupations, or be stimulated by the methodology of the tutoring. The aim is to provide a space for both collaborative work and reflection, the sharing of ideas conceptually and/or in space/time, with one-to-one tutoring also available.

Maximum number 16. Participants will be early career, or mid-career seeking refreshment. You must possess previous experience at graduate level (theatre, dance music, film, fine art) and be seriously engaged in finding and/or developing their own practice as independent live artists.
