Feminism (inter) generational - 2023, the IFTF as part of the Magdalena Project unfolds an intergenerational collective dialogue on storytelling the positioning of womxn and girls. Thinking about a feminist future this year means asking for narratives and visibility of artists, feminists, networkers and revolutionaries in a healing generational dialogue. It is about what remains for the next generation and what healing can mean. Participation is open to artistic projects by womxn with a view to shaping a feminist future.

Submit your artistic research, productions and feminist thoughts on culture, generational dialogue, healing and gender justice for our programme at info@iftf-frankfurt.com with the subject "Open Call IFTF 2023" until 30 June 2023! Be a part of it, make contacts and exchange with artists, activists, scholars and many interesting people at IFTF 2023 (18-24 September 2023)!

Here is an overview of everything you need to know about applying:

For the diverse programme, we are looking for feminist response options for a diverse audience. Here's what we want to know from you: What stories empower womxn as feminists, cultural workers, networkers and revolutionaries? How does culture work as a place of protest against patriarchal structures and as a place for more participation, co-determination as well as self-determination? What does feminist dialogue need to heal? How do artists act as ambassadors for a sustainable and diverse future of our society?

• Theatre productions and performances
• Performances in public space, e.g. audio walk, site-specifics etc.
• Performing arts and music workshop leaders
• DJ*anes & live music
• Pandora's Box: Video performance or video installation etc.
• ‘Symposium' - Contribution to the topic "Feminism (inter) generational - reflections, experiences and thoughts".
• Participants for the festival residency (accommodation and meals included) 18-24 September 2023 (Secure one of the limited artist residencies on site during the festival! More information will follow soon).

Applications will be accepted in an ongoing selection process up to and including 30 June 2023. We aim to provide feedback to all applicants by 31 July 2023 at the latest.

Feminism (inter) generational – 2023 entfaltet das IFTF als Teil des Magdalena Projects einen generationsübergreifenden, kollektiven Dialog zum Storytelling der Positionierung von Frauen* und Mädchen*. Denken an eine feministische Zukunft bedeutet in diesem Jahr die Frage nach Erzählweisen sowie Sichtbarkeit von Künstler*innen, Feminist*innen, Netzwerker*innen und Revolutionär*innen in einem heilenden Generationendialog. Es geht darum, was für die nächste Generation bleibt und was Heilung bedeuten kann. Die Teilnahme ist offen für künstlerische Projekte von Frauen* mit Blick auf die Gestaltung einer feministischen Zukunft.

Reicht Eure künstlerischen Forschungen, Produktionen und feministischen Gedanken zu Kultur, Generationendialog, Heilung und Geschlechtergerechtigkeit für unser Programm unter info@iftf-frankfurt.com mit dem Betreff „Open Call IFTF 2023“ bis zum 30. Juni 2023 ein! Werdet Teil, knüpft Kontakte und tauscht Euch zum IFTF 2023 (18.-24. September 2023) mit Künstler*innen, Aktivist*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen und vielen interessanten Menschen aus!

Für das vielfältige Programm suchen wir feministische Antwortmöglichkeiten für ein vielfältiges Publikum. Hierfür wollen wir folgendes von Euch wissen: Welche Geschichten befähigen Frauen* als Feminist*innen, Kulturschaffende, Netzwerker*innen und Revolutionär*innen? Wie wirkt Kultur als Ort des Protests gegen patriarchale Strukturen und als Ort für mehr Teilhabe, Mitbestimmung sowie Selbstbestimmung? Was braucht der feministische Dialog zur Heilung? Wie wirken Künstler*innen als Botschafter*innen für eine nachhaltige und vielfältige Zukunft unserer Gesellschaft?

Bewerbt Euch (mit Angabe des Budgets und technischer Bedingungen) für/als:

• Theateraufführungen und Performances
• Performances im öffentlichen Raum, z.B. Audiowalk, Site-specifics etc.
• Workshopleiter*innen in Darstellender Kunst und Musik
• DJ*anes & Livemusik
• Pandora‘s Box: Video-Performance oder Video-Installation etc.
• ‘Symposium’ – Beitrag zum Thema „Feminism (inter) generational – Reflektionen, Erfahrungen und Gedanken“

Die Bewerbungen werden in einem laufenden Auswahlverfahren bis einschließlich 30. Juni 2023 angenommen. Bis spätestens 31. Juli 2023 wollen wir allen Bewerber*innen Rückmeldung geben.
