Plasmar el proyecto Magdalena en una película parece imposible, considerando su extensión geográfica e histórica, además de su naturaleza evolutiva y multilingual. Magdalena es un documental de treinta minutos creado en colaboración entre la Directora Artística Fundadora, Jill Greenhalgh, y la cineasta Sara Penrhyn Jones.

El haber sido capaces de adaptarnos al cambio, es uno de los factores que ha contribuido a la larga y diversa historia del Proyecto Magdalena.  A lo largo de 33 años, el proyecto ha evolucionado de acuerdo con las necesidades de la red en momentos y lugares particulares. Ahora, en el nivel estructural un cambio sutil está ocurriendo, puede que la mayoría no lo note, pero es un cambio que plantea preguntas importantes, así como oportunidades para el futuro del proyecto.
