Care Café
Everyday since January 20 has seemed like a Fool’s Day so why not make April Fool’s Day a day for some respite from foolishness and a replenishment of care?
Conceived by artist Lois Weaver in the aftermath of the 2016 US presidential election, the Care Café is a place to be in company and conversation with others. Set up like a conventional café with small tables and chairs and some simple table activities, the Care Café asks us to turn up as we are, with no specific agenda or expectation, simply asking the question:
How can we maintain an attitude of care in an uncaring world?
La Mama is holding monthly Care Cafés so we can gather regularly to help each other find a way through this chaos.
