25th Anniversary Appeal

As part of the 25th anniversary of The Magdalena Project, we are redesigning and rebuilding this web site using updated technology and incorporating the online forums and web site into a single, more user-friendly cohesive platform. Your donation towards this project is greatly appreciated.

Online Art Auction

Josefina Baez has generously donated a limited edition silkscreen artwork to this fundraising appeal (pictured at right). The silkscreen is a collectors' item that was commissioned when Latinarte/Ay Ombe Theatre was founded (also 25 years ago) and is by the Dominican Republic's foremost visual artist, Jorge Pineda. The online auction ends on 31 May 2011; to participate, <a href=to participate, click here." src="/sites/default/files/images/auction.jpg" style="width: 211px; height: 300px; float: right;">The Magdalena Project does not receive any regular funding; most of the work is carried out by volunteers and operations are "virtual" as much as possible. Festivals are organised and funded by autonomous local groups, but there are always ongoing costs relating to administration and communications for which we must find funding. Donations are always welcome - for these ongoing administrative costs or for specific projects. Please click here to make a donation to The Magdalena Project via the free online donation service Charity Choice. The Magdalena Project is a UK Registered Charity and all donations by UK tax-payers are eligible for Gift Aid, effectively increasing your donation by 25%.
