Dance Like Nobody's Watching
I read in an interview to the Italian actress Luisa Pasello that Grotowski described the actor’s training as something like brushing one’s teeth. A very personal moment meant for the exploration of the psycho-physical perspectives that nurture the practice of your art.
Every week we meet at Astaroth Teatro in Amsterdam to share training experiences and traditions.
We investigate in these meetings the relation between training and creative work, through practices of traditional psycho-physical trainings (qi-gong and tai chi, tibetan and kashmiri yoga, traditional dances), voice and breathing, space, improvisation, interaction with sounds and visuals.
Every few weeks we open our workshop to fellow performers, musicians, explorers, poets, designers and creators to share our creative explorations also with artists and practitioners of other fields.
You are welcome to join us on one or more of the following dates:
September 22nd
October 6th
October 27th
November 3rd
November 10th
December 1st
December 15th
The explorations will close with a group presentation (open to all interested in collaborating) in the performance party
Dance like nobody’s watching December 16th 2012, Amsterdam.
Please, write an email to nobodyswatching@dimension4theatre.com with your name and contact and the dates you wish to join the creative training at Astaroth.
