UpStage presentation and walkthrough
The presentation will briefly introduce UpStage and some of the artists involved, then we will move on the open walkthrough. UpStage is the platform that was used in the cyberformance workshop at Transit this year (pictured) and for the performance make-shift, presented at Legacy & Challenge (2011) and Tantidhatri (2012).
This is an opportunity for anyone interested in learning how to use UpStage to create live online performances, to have a hands-on guided tour of the platform. You will be given a guest log-in and shown how the on-stage player tools work, to collaborate in real-time with other performers around the world.
You are welcome to join online, here’s all you need to do:
- find your local time ;
- email info@upstage.org.nz if you would like a guest log-in for the walkthrough;
- click here to enter the stage.
The presentation and walkthrough are part of Flossie, a two-day event in London bringing together women developers, entrepreneurs, researchers and policy-makers, digital artists and social innovators working with open source technologies. If you’re going to be in London and are interested in attending Flossie, registration is now open and there is full information here.
The session will be led by Helen Varley Jamieson, with Christina Papagiannouli (at Flossie), Liz Bryce (in New Zealand) and Katarina DJ Urosevi? (in Serbia).
